We're having a day of live music to celebrate the 35 year (or so) work anniversary of our very own Box Office Hippy Mick Newman - known to many as the friendly face selling tickets, making chilli for visiting bands and of course playing in a multitude of musical projects himself, including the legendary Curious Band, whose revolving lineup once featured Blur's Graham Coxon amongst many others.
On September 3rd, Mick presents a hand-picked selecton of acts from around the area and further afield. Headlining is The Orb's ALEX PATERSON, performing a DJ set that's not to be missed, along with experimental pane of glass-playing noise merchant JUSTICE YELDHAM (look out, it often gets bloody), ex Asian Dub Foundation member DHANGSHA doing some pulverising beat breakdowns and Mick's own project VALHALLANS playing two sets on the day.
