The twisted imaginations that scripted "The Ceremonial Opening of the Arts Centre Privies", "The Grand Beard Shave of Lord Anthony Roberts" and "The Adventures of Bentley Strangetrousers", return once again, as I Hear Voices Theatre Company, for their now traditional (and extremely silly) evening of horror and associated ghostly nonsense in two linked tales of terror inspired by M.R. James and H.P. Lovecraft.

Pour yourselves another glass of sherry as medievalist, antiquary and genial fear monger, Montague Roads Jim, exhumes a fresh Ghost Story for Christmas. Listen in dread and repressed British embarrassment to the tall tale of fusty bachelor academic Dennisford; whose cycling holiday in the South of France is rudely interrupted by ancient ecclesiastical horrors, outrageous local accents and some awfully naughty pictures...

You know the artist, Reginald Ivanhoe Pickman? Of course you don’t, he’s entirely fictitious. But imagine if he wasn’t! What if he were the enfant terrible of the 1920s New England arts scene, responsible for shocking and scandalous creations the likes of which few could conceive? And what if the origins of that art held a terrible, dark secret? What then? Two inebriate dilettantes might drink themselves under the table recounting his story…
