16th April 2021

THIS GIG HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FROM FRIDAY 22ND MAY 2020

This gig is for a standing audience.

UKAEA is a shadowy collective concerned with exploring trance-dance phenomena and holistic performance through a post-apocalyptic filter.

You have reached the frequency for the monthly UKAEA Alliance Transmission, covering all current Alliance sectors. All radiation forecasts; dog pack and bandit/paramilitary warnings; re-contact announcements; new Colodome announcements; cultural documentation and dissemination are now amalgamated under this frequency. Please do not attempt to contact or trace the UKAEA Alliance Hub location from this transmission: in the interest of security, all transmissions are scrambled. WARNING: ATTEMPTS TO REMOTELY DE-SCRAMBLE WILL RESULT IN INSTANT DEPLOYMENT OF MANTIS WALKERS TO YOUR LOCATION.

Dame Area mixes synths and live percussion, industrialism and tribalism. Their music works as a musical Rorscharch test: some people call them Tribal Wave, others Latin EBM, some say they do pure Krautrock some say that they do Industrial Postpunk.

Silvia Konstance and Viktor L.Crux, (a collaborator of Nurse With Wound and J.Arbeit from E.Neubauten) are part of Màgia Roja, a place unlike any other in Spain, perhaps any other on earth (says The Quietus), a label and venue in Barcelona, Viktor being the resident DJ there.

Starting to play live and releasing their music in 2018, their incessant touring schedule has already seen them play all over Europe in the past couple of years their music. Since 2019 they also play live as a trio with Jesse Webb from Gnod/Anthroprophh at the drums/percussion.

Their music has been played in the sets of some of the bravest DJs out there including The Hacker, Identified Patient, Vladimir Ivkovic, Yamatsuka Eye (Boredoms) or Tommy Tokyo (Group A) among others.
