This gig is for a standing audience.

The Verdicts make their explosive debut headline show at the Colchester Arts Centre with the "Just Ordinary Entertainment" show.

Bringing friends in the noisy Colchester based post-punk group "Intrinsic", the catchy melodies of Chelmsford's "Highfly" and the heavy ramblings of Cambridge based "The Monoliths," The Verdicts have promised to put on the biggest show they've ever played - complete with their biggest setlist ever, stage antics that would make even the most experienced of frontmen weep and a blow up doll of their lead guitarist.

A show not to miss.

Highfly
Having met at college, HighFly are a fresh sounding indie band bursting onto the scene having sold out their first ever headline show at the Hotbox in Chelmsford, as well as multiple plays on BBC Introducing and national radio.

The Monoliths
The Monoliths take a psychedelic and heavy approach to the modern post punk movement, with influences in prog rock, metal and hardcore. Expect a lot of noise, and possibly some music as well.

Intrinsic
Intrinsic, an up and coming quintet of pure sonic splendour. Known for their manic live shows, dapper suits and “In-your-face” noise-making, Intrinsic pull inspiration from everything and nothing all at once. They experiment with new sounds and feels each show, ranging from bowed guitar to melodica to amped vocals, no show is the same with them. If you’ve ever felt like throwing yourself around like never before, Intrinsic are the band to see live.

The Verdicts
The Verdicts are a group who write about their experiences living in a Post-Brexit Britain. Renowned for eclectic live shows, big choruses, and lyricism that paints an image of the British 2020s, they like to write songs about the more mundane aspects of British life including sunburn, missing your train, stressful bus journeys and Boris Johnson. Sonically, they are the result of a generation raised on the music of Pavement and Dizee Rascal. Following recent plays on BBC 6 Music and a whole host of successful local shows, The Verdicts are excited to embark on their biggest journey yet.
