Starting sometime around 2012 from humble beginnings jamming on Ben and Giles' sofa, the Tommy's have since performed regular shows at folk festivals and venues in the UK, Belgium, Norway, Germany, Estonia, France and elsewhere. They recently recorded their debut album of original songs at Woodworm Studios, founded by UK folk legends Fairport Convention and subsequently were asked by Fairport to perform at their Cropredy festival in 2022.

With a wide range of influences from bluegrass and blues to Irish and American folk, the Tommy's have quickly gained a reputation for playing fun energetic music fused with depth and wide emotional range.
