14th May 2018

Two of the British folk scene’s top performers have teamed up for a limited number of shows this year to perform their own and each other’s music.

BBC award-winning Luke Daniels was recently described by fRoots magazine as “genius” for his intriguingly varied songs and ingenious compositions for his electrophon machine which combines Victorian music technology with digital samples via specially manufactured steel discs with which Luke plays guitar, piano, melodeon and sings.

Tim Edey was voted BBC Folk Musician of the Year in 2012 and “Best duo” with Brendan Power. Tim is a multi-instrumentalist and singer and has toured the world and recorded with most of the major names in Celtic/Contemporary roots music.

Their duo show promises to be a stunning mix of world music inspired instrumental virtuosity and passion with a strong Celtic theme, to audience – chorus lines and above all a highly entertaining night of musical genius.

Bernard Hoskin is an experienced singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who has released 9 cds and opened for many of the big names on the folk scene. He previously played for Colchester Folk Club as a member of Pavlov's Cat. A recent review of a live performance wrote: "Bernard performs songs with the unhurried, slightly wistful, airy, summery feel of classic 60s folk singer-songwriters, creating a reflective, gentle and fundamentally positive space, which it was a treat to inhabit during his deservedly well-received set."
