Steve Wright was chairman of the Colchester Arts Centre Jazz Club from 1983-1996 and after an almost 20-year hiatus, he’s been coaxed out of ‘retirement’ to raise the profile of this wonderful art form once more.

We relaunch the Arts Centre Jazz Club on Sunday 10th January and we’re going to be reverting back to the unreserved table seating policy  the jazz club originally had back in the day. So it will be table seating only throughout the space, with a few rows of chairs at the rear, as and when is  necessary.

Ticket prices for most gigs will be £12 and £10 concessions, and while Jazz Express is remaining, this also is changing slightly - book for any three jazz gigs and get tickets for £8 each.

This time there won’t be a paid-for membership, it’ll be free! To sign up for membership please email with your name and address. Alternatively, call our box office on 01206 500900.
You’ll be rewarded with a rather groovy pin badge for your troubles and you will receive updates and exclusive offers.

So here’s what’s lined-up so far.
