Nicola Werenowska & Peter Jones: Little Star Poetry Workshop

Be inspired by the poetry of two famous Colchester sisters!

Led by award winning neurodivergent playwright & creative writing tutor, Nicola Werenowska, and local historian, Peter Jones. This free poetry workshop is for writers of all levels to explore the poetry of Anne and Jane Taylor, two Colchester sisters who wrote the lyrics to the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star nursery rhyme in 1806 in Colchester's Dutch Quarter. Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy and discuss the Taylor sisters' poems as well as create their own work.

Nicola is currently writing a play STAR SISTERS about the lives of Jane and Anne, supported by Arts Council England, Colchester Arts Centre, The Twinkle Star Statue Fund and North Primary School.

These workshops take place at Colchester Arts Centre between 10am and 1pm.
