Louise Orwin: Free Workshop

Louise Orwin: Free Workshop

7th November 2019

‘I don’t know the question, but sex is definitely the answer.’ Joan Rivers

This is a workshop for those who want to get to know more about their own desire, in a
safe space. A no-holds-barred questioning, sharing, and discussing of all things S-E-X.

Louise says:

"Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about what turns me on, and the politics of desire: how it is performed, and how we can understand it in our current political climate. I want to know if I can own my turn-ons in an empowered way, and begin to untangle it from the narrative of heteronormative desire that patriarchal culture weaves for us.
The workshop will be approached the way I approach my own work in a gentle, inquisitive format, with a mixture of exercises to include: meditative exercises, some gentle movement writing, reading, and a lot of discussion."

This workshop offers a space for gentle reflection and questioning around sex and desire, and offers participants a space to feel empowered in their desire. It was created by Louise in tandem with a therapist and sexual health adviser.

The workshops are kindly supported by Jerwood Charitable Foundation and Arts
Council England.

The workshop runs 10am – 3pm, and includes a 45 minute lunch break.
(Participants are asked to bring their own lunch).

This workshop is for up to 15 female and femme-identifying persons who are over the
age of 18.
