Antonio Forcione + Special Guest Emiliano Caroselli + Yazmyn Hendrix

Antonio Forcione is an artist in every sense of the word, hailed as one of the most charismatic, unconventional guitarists at large in the musical world today.

With a host of international awards under his belt, this eclectic composer never ceases to stun his audience on stage, leading him to be referred to as the “Jimi Hendrix of the acoustic guitar”.

Antonio's solo performances never fail to bring the house down, let alone when he is performing in duo, as a trio, or with his quartet of international musicians. He breaks the mould of most conventional guitar sounds - be it in the field of jazz, Spanish, African, Brazilian or improvised music.

Artistic, intense, and formidably inventive, Antonio is a performer of genuine distinction. Ever unpredictable, his is a celebration of the unexpected elements in life, a music of rare delicacy, ferocious virtuosity, humour - and, not least, passion.

Antonio's virtuosity has seen him share the stage and record with some of the world’s most accomplished musicians, including Martin Taylor, Barney Kessel, Charlie Haden, Angelique Kidjo, Trilok Gurtu, Larry Coryell, Ulf Wakenius, and Birelli Lagrene, as well as supporting artists such as Bobby McFerrin and Van Morrison.

Since he relocated from Rome to London in 2012, Emiliano Caroselli’s sensitive, passionate approach to the drums quickly made him an important figure on the London jazz scene.

Emiliano’s receptiveness to all styles of music, combined with a deep knowledge of the roots of jazz, the richness of his dynamics and his attention to interplay with other musicians, have made him one of the most in-demand drummers and percussionists on the scene today.

Support Artist: Yazmyn Hendrix

Originally from London, Yazmyn Hendrix is a solo a cappella artist who uses mainly her voice, some percussion, and various effects pedals to create her musical environment.

Describing herself as an experimental multi-genre singer and songwriter, Yazmyn writes simple songs about complex things; love, life, reality and dreams. Think melancholic soul, enchanting layers of harmony influenced by folk, pop, blues and gospel - with a loop pedal.

Yazmyn is synaesthetic, meaning she associates each song, each word and each instrument with colours and textures; this gives her an original perspective when writing and performing.

This talented singer has also collaborated with Retrospective for Love on their single, Let Me Know, from their debut album, Random Activities of the Heart, Mrisi for In a Moment (the first track to be released online from his debut EP, Mamela) and Madness at last year’s House of Fun Weekender.
