The Laughter Zone

Featuring: Tim Clark, Simon Clayton & Gavin Webster

This week’s Laughter Zone sees Tim Clark, Simon Clayton & Gavin Webster taking to our stage for a Friday night of the highest comedy indulgence.

Comedian, writer and actor Tim Clark is a regular compere at Jongleurs and the Comedy Store, has toured with Frank Skinner and written speeches for the likes of Graham Taylor to Gordon Brown. If TV stand-up shows and panel games were not enough, he was also the personable face of the Grim Reaper in a Virgin Atlantic ad campaign.

Simon Clayton has been a stand up comic since the summer of 1995. On stage he talks about what he is male, fat, mixed race, married, balding and anything else that currently makes him laugh. Although not necessarily in that order.

"Simon's natural brightness often leads to disruptive high jinks during registration" - Mr Massey, head of 6th Form, Southgate School

Gavin Webster has been compared to legendary US comedian Bill Hicks and possesses a style of comedy that is loud, sharp and controversial – throwing together a brilliant mix of surrealism, commentary and one-liners in a haphazard, scattergun romp. Gavin performed in Does Doug Know with Daisy Donavon for Channel 4 as a regular team captain and currently performs at every major comedy venue throughout the UK including the prestigious Comedy Store's 'Men At Work' topical comedy night. He is highly celebrated by his peers and has supported Lee Evans, Jack Dee and Phill Jupitus on tour.

“Sometimes sublime, sometimes ridiculous, sometimes both… the self-aware spirit of playfulness that pervades the hour ensures you’re always smiling.” – Steve Bennett, Chortle
