London's brand new LGBTQIA+ Comedy night come to Colchester!

Featuring the best in established and upcoming acts from the community on the UK comedy circuit. This is night is all about giving acts and audiences alike a fun and friendly place to express themselves, kick back, have a laugh and good time in an inclusive and welcoming comedy club environment.

Whether it's comedy, cabaret or anything in between - Laugh Out Proud is the queer night out you're looking for.

Laugh Out Proud in Colchester will feature the stand-up delights of Mark Cram, Dane Buckley and dynamic sketch comedy duo Shelf!

Mark Cram
Mark is quite the all-rounder; with both a killer set and strong MCing chops. For the last few years Mark has been plying his comedy trade across the UK. Constantly evolving, usually unpredictable; he is garnering positive reactions everywhere he goes. Mark thrills crowds with his tales of dead-end jobs, his family and being the less than grateful winner of Bedford Comedian of the Year.

Shelf
Shelf are a comedy double act from South London, made up of Rachel WD and Ruby Clyde. Since their formation Shelf have performed across the UK comedy and festival circuits and their work has appeared on NextUp, LADBible, and on BBC3 with over one million views. They were featured as part of Penguin’s audiobook Edinburgh Unlocked in 2020.

Dane Buckley
Dane Buckley is the world's only Irish, Indian, gay comedian…possibly. An award-winning comic & writer, he delivers effortlessly with a cheeky charm & camp mischief. Be it his early years (Irish mammies, Indian grannies, rebel priests) or his career in social care (teenage gangs, delivering a baby, loosing 60 pensioners) audiences across the UK have enjoyed his hilarious & heart-warming anecdotes. Dane has supported Tom Allen & Rosie Jones on tour, won Beat the Frog World Series Competition 2022 (Frog & Bucket), King Gong (Comedy Store), The Blackout (Up the Creek) & Comedy Knockout (Backyard). Dane was a finalist for 2Northdown New Act Competition & LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year.
