Edinburgh Previews: Jimmy Mcghie + Alistair Green

30th July 2011

Saturday's Edinburgh Preview sees Jimmy Mcghie and Jen Brister taking to our stage for an unmissable evening’s entertainment that will showcase the talent they will later bring to The Fringe this year.

Jimmy Mcghie has supported Chris Addison and Simon Bird on tour, co-presented the Dave Gorman radio show on Absolute Radio and recently performed on BBC Three's ‘Russell Howard's Good News’. “Last year I said he had "one to watch" stamped on his forehead; well, this year he has "see him now before you have to queue around the O2" stamped on his forehead. There are few comics I can think of who have the sheer star quality of Jimmy McGhie. He is the perfect little comedy package." - The Scotsman

Jen Brister began by entering the BBC Comedy Awards in 2000 where her exceptional quick-wit and sharp tongue were noted by all, picking up a celebrity fan along the way in the form of the late, great Spike Milligan. She took her one-woman show ‘Me, My Mum & I’ on an acclaimed tour which culminated in a successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2006, and has since presented numerous shows on BBC 6 Music as well as starting her own afternoon show on 6 Music in September 2008.
