Arts Centre Fundraiser: Stand Up Comedy In The Park *

A special socially-distanced evening of stand up comedy, in Castle Park, Colchester!

This is a fundraising gig for the arts centre, which is facing extremely challenging times in light of the current Covid crisis. Please come along and lend us your support.

If you can't come and still want to help, please head on over to our DONATIONS PAGE where you can make a contribution - it'll be hugely gratefully received!

Enjoy a triple bill of stand up comedy, led by our fab local compere Jo Fletcher-Cross for a much needed night of laughs at the Bandstand in Colchester's Castle park. Full seating and a bar are provided, with socially-distanced measures in place throughout.

WHO'S ON?

Your Compere JO FLETCHER CROSS
Jo is a bemused Glaswegian living in Essex, trying to be a good person. She performs stand-up around the UK and overseas, including at the prestigious Just for Laughs festival in Montreal, and delivers comedy, confidence and writing workshops for Funny Women and other organisations. She's incredibly excited to get out of the house.

+ 3 special guest comedians, TBA!

SEATING
Seats are provided - we will arrange these in socially-distanced pods according to the number in your party. Please be sure to book all your party in the same booking so we can clearly identify the size of your group. Your group must entirely consist of people from the same social / familial bubble, as per current government guidelines.

BAR
There will be a bar on site - payments will be taken by card only, no cash I'm afraid, to be covid safe.

WHERE
The event is by the Bandstand in Castle Park, Colchester. Gates are situated adjacent to the war memorial at the end of Colchester High Street (opposite the top of Queen Street). Please assemble here.

All Tickets £14.
Gates open 6.45pm - show starts 7.30pm.
Please arrive at least 20 minutes before the performance starts so you have adequate time to get to your seats and have a drink. Unfortunately no latecomers will be admitted.
Please note that food & drink may not be brought onto the site.
In the event of rain the show will go on - please bring wet weather gear, not umbrellas which my impede others' view.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY - FOR THE SAFETY OF ALL
There are a number of safeguarding measures we need to carry out in order to make this a safe enjoyable event for everyone.

We will take your temperature on entry to the park - this will be carried out by someone wearing PPE who will hold a thermometer a few inches in front of your forehead. If your temperature is higher than the recommended threshold, we will ask you to come back and try again in 10 minutes' time. If it again exceeds the threshold, we won't be able to admit you (your ticket will be refunded).

There will be clear signage indicating routes that we need you to follow when entering and exiting the performance area, bar and toilets. We will have marshalls in the park to assist throughout.

When you book your tickets you will be asked to enter the name and contact number for everyone in your party, for track and trace purposes.
