THE MUSIC OF PLACE WITH BRITTEN SINFONIA

An evening concert to celebrate The Music Of Place. In the first half meet the composers Alan Bullard, Nigel Hildreth, Michael Spearman and Daniel Merril. Hear them all talk about the working ideas and inspiration behind each piece. Listen to the music afresh as members of Britten Sinfonia present the new compositions.
In the second half of the evening Britten Sinfonia, led by Jacqueline Shave, will perform Vivaldi’s exuberant Four Seasons, Britten’s Simple Symphony and Bartok’s Romanian Dances.

Britten Sinfonia is one of Europes’s most celebrated and pioneering ensembles. The orchestra is acclaimed for its musicianship, an inspired approach to concert programming and a versatility that is second to none. Colchester Arts Centre are delighted to welcome Britten Sinfonia back for this evening concert.

ADMISSION FREE, BUT BOOKING ESSENTIAL.
Doors open 7pm, concert starts 7.30pm.
