Colchester Heritage Tour with Sir Bob Russell - Tour A *

Enjoy an entertaining and fact-filled walk around the country's oldest recorded town, in the company of former Colchester MP Sir Bob Russell.

The thing is, there's just so much history in Colchester - far too much to fit in to one walk. So there is now two different versions - A and B - both starting at Colchester Arts Centre and finishing at Firstsite. They will run alternately - so if you enjoyed one, why not try the other?!

Tours start at 10am unless otherwise specified.
April 9th “A”
April 23rd “B” 4pm
May 7th “A”
May 21st “B”
June 4th “A”
June 18th “B”
July 2nd “A”
July 30th “B”
August 13th “A”
August 27th “B”
September 10th “A”
September 24th “B”

"The routes will embrace ancient and modern" says Sir Bob, who is also a former Mayor of Colchester as well as being the Town's MP for the past 18 years.

The estimated time of the walk, with stops for commentary, is two hours.
Places on each tour are limited to a maximum of 15 people.

Sir Bob is also willing to do tours for groups and "specials" for individuals on other days of the week - minimum donation request of £25. Please contact the Colchester Arts Centre Box Office to arrange.

PRE-BOOKING ESSENTIAL!

Suggested fee of £5 per person, but pay what you can afford!
Proceeds will go towards a project by Sir Bob to erect a statue of sisters Jane and Ann Taylor who in 1806, in Colchester, wrote arguably the world's favourite nursery rhyme: "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".

Tour starts at 10am prompt from outside the Colchester Arts Centre Box Office in Church Street (adjacent to the Quaker Meeting House).

Sensible walking shoes and emergency brolly recommended!
