Easter Saturday 31st March 2018

Geoff Achison & The Souldiggers.
When was the last time a musician made you stop what you were doing to see who’s playing? ‘Guitarist, singer & songwriter Geoff Achison is on a major UK tour invoking the spirit of old-school blues & soul to create an engaging and original sound wherever he goes. Geoff can play and entertain either with his band or in solo and has won the Albert King Award in Memphis USA, as well as being voted ‘Male Artist of the Year’, ‘Album of the Year’, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Band of the Year’ by the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society 2012. He’s also featured on PRS, NPR, CNN and is always a welcome guest on BBC Radio 2 with Paul Jones’. Geoff is playing tonight with the UK
Souldiggers - a select bunch of session musicians including Sam Kelly (drums), Paul Jobson (keys) and Andy Hodge (bass). ‘Geoff Achison and the Souldiggers’ are destined for great things, so don’t miss out. Come and see them tonight!

Tim Aves & Wolfpack
Veteran Essex frontman Tim Aves has blazed a trail across Europe over the past 35 years, fronting Automatic Slim, The Rockin' Armadillos and now WOLFPACK. Down the years, Tim's blues has been heard worldwide on the airwaves, including several BBC Radio 2 Paul Jones radio sessions. Expect the great songs of Howlin' Wolf, plus Tim's own tunes - all served up with remarkable virtuosity, formidable energy and a plus-sized slice of 21st-century Essex attitude! Entertainment with a capital E!

Martin McNeill
Martin demonstrates his virtuosity on slide guitar and has been described as: ‘One of this country’s finest bottleneck blues guitarists’, by Stephen Foster of the BBC. A long-term resident of Colchester, Martin now lives in Southend where he is called upon to play at and organise jam sessions right across Essex and into Kent. He’d love to see some of his old mates again.
